Children’s Plays
Science, math, history, folklore Social issues/character building
Hahn-Arts offers original children’s plays. Fun situations and interesting characters excite and engage readers, performers and audiences while giving them a great learning experience.
The plays can be performed by children or by adults for children. They can be read in a group setting, given as an assignment for an individual, or provide a fun learning experience for the family. They’re great for schools, camps, children’s theater companies, museums, historical societies and any other organization that conducts educational or entertainment programs for children.
Varied cast sizes let you choose the play that works best for your group. Minimal sets and costumes mean minimal costs. The support materials provided make it easy to produce the plays, even for a new director.
Come, explore our Current Offerings, some planned additions, and the ways we can help you give our children a great learning and entertaining experience.
Support Materials
You get a wide range of support materials in the collections. We provide suggested staging/blocking. Sets and costumes can be minimal but where necessary we provide suggestions and sketches. The collections include sample audition forms and communications to parents. Most importantly, the plays include follow up exercises to reinforce learning. While most exercises are numbered to correspond to the materials for the Virginia SOLs they will support learning in any situation.
Workshops/Directors
Feeling a little intimidated by the idea of directing a show? Too many other things on your plate right now? Don’t put off this great opportunity for your group. For Virginia purchasers we may be able to help with a consultation or by connecting you with a director. Extra fees apply; they vary depending on location, timing and the support requested. Resources are limited. To find out if we can help, ask for a contact when you check out.
Purchase Agreement: These materials are sold only for use for individual or classroom instruction, reading or performances by schools, clubs, museums or other non-profit organizations for the entertainment and education of their members, friends and families.
Royalties apply if admission is charged for performances or readings unless written permission is given by the playwrights. “Admission” includes, but is not limited to, ticket sales, suggested donations or other requested contributions for the performance or reading. Royalties also apply if the materials are used by individuals or organizations as part of any program such as, but not limited to, educational/training programs, conferences, consultations, workshops, or seminars for which the individual or organization receives any compensation.
